One-to-One Personal Counselling

Embrace Life’s Challenges

My approach to counselling has grown and developed since I first completed my qualifying training as a counsellor in the person centred approach.  However, being person-centred remains very much at the heart of who I am as a person and as a professional counsellor.

Person-centred counselling is a therapeutic approach that emphasizes the individual's personal experience and feelings. I am here to support you in your therapy, however, you remain the expert in what it means to be you and how you live your life. This is a very empowering approach, whether you are a person with a long-term health condition looking to be heard and understood. Or a young person at University, seeking to find your way in the world and build confidence in yourself - person-centred counselling can be a valuable support.

Developed by Carl Rogers, in the 1940's and 1950's - this method focuses on creating a supportive environment where clients feel safe to explore their thoughts and emotions. By fostering genuine understanding and acceptance, person-centred counselling encourages personal growth and self-discovery. It empowers individuals to find their own solutions to challenges, promoting mental well-being and resilience.
